Well, I am back after a whirlwind of tours and international travel with Luscious dance Ok, not really but I did meet up with them after a summer of not dancing. I have fallen out of pole dancing. The interest, the passion, the effort, all but gone for a few months. It happens with interests I guess. It takes time to enjoy hobbies. It took an invite from a friend to motivate me to take it up again. So Luscious dance expanded to a dozen volunteer dancers with a love of performing and erotic dance. We went 1st for a drink then on to the Royal, I am happy to say The Royal has finally renovated to offer room around their pole and a raised stage offering that little bit of leg extension space. At the time of my 1st article about The Royal, I complained that the competition for the spotlight was vicious. I am happy to report things have changed. It was a night as it should be, a bunch of men and women sailing around the brass in turn; it was an evening of perfection.
What is pole dancing perfection? What has brought me back to blogging? Its the fundamentals pole dancing.
Women who love to dance,
women who encourage each other to be part of the spot light.
Women who share stories and experiences and
women who encourage each other because it feels good to be part of community.
And it really doesn't 't take much. An encouraging smile to a stranger up on the pole. A welcoming hug and a genuine, "its so good to see you." A group of luscious dancers giving gentle instructions to the new. A friend inviting a dancer who has not been dancing in a while to take the stage again, to help her prove that she still has the grace she has convinced herself she has lost. A smile and a few words, "dance with me, we will do it together," or "I will back you up." A bit of friendly comradely to motivate and remind me I have found home.I am home again and I couldn't be happier.
Thank you my friends, the Luscious vixens.
Check out this very inspiring video. Its about getting back to pole dancing and although it is a bit lengthy at 10 minutes, I couldn't stop watching it. Way to go Veena.
